New Student Registration

All students entering kindergarten or first grade for the 2024-2025 school year need to register for school, unless they are already a student in the district.

Children must be 5 years of age by October 1st of their kindergarten year to register for kindergarten and 6 years of age by October 1st of their first grade year to register for first grade.

Only a parent or legal guardian may register a student in the Riverdale School District. Registration is primarily done online; however, if you are unable to complete the online registration process or once you have completed it please contact Mrs. Erica Videc, Registrar, to set up an appointment to finalize registration. Mrs. Videc may be reached at (973) 839-1300 Ext. 100.

Initial determination of eligibility for admission to the Riverdale Public School is subject to a thorough review and there is a potential for assessment of tuition in the event that an initially admitted student is later found ineligible pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:28-2.6. Any and all persons who give fraudulent information for the purpose of attending the Riverdale Public School will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and sued for tuition for the student's period of ineligible attendance in the schools of the district.
